The hardest thing to understand when buying rocks online is to really know how large the rock is. Some sellers place a coin or other common object in the photo which is not very helpful. Our customers have told us that showing the rock in a large and a small hand is the best way to show the actual size of the rock.
The adult hand is a XXL glove size hand and measures 8 inches from the wrist to the finger tips. The child hand is a 7 year old average size child and the hand measures 4 inches from wrist to finger tip.
When you buy from Kidz Rocks, what you see IS what you get!
Photographing crystals properly is quite complicated and a lot of sellers online do not know how to do it correctly. Using the right camera and using proper lighting for the crystal isn't something, it’s everything. We feel that few, if any other, sellers do it right - the way we do.
Not to get too technical, but we not only use 4500 degree color temperature bulbs with the camera color temperature set to match the bulbs, we also use the only bulbs available on the market rated 100 CRI, made by Solux. CRI - Color Rendering Index - is a measure of the ability of a light source to reveal the colors of various objects faithfully, when compared with a natural light source.
This method of photographing crystals does not change the colors of the crystals when seen onscreen, so color correction, or any other editing to the image, is unnecessary.
We use USPS First Class and Priority Flat Rate shipping service. For shipments under 16 ounces we ship first call and over 16 ounces are shipped priority mail. USPS flat rate service, "if it fist it ships", is the most cost effective shipping service for heavy rocks.
As a courtesy to our customers, we never charge more than $7.50 shipping no matter how many rocks on on your order! For larger orders we pay any additional shipping cost if a large USPS Flat rate box is required to ship your order. So buy more items one each order and save a considerable amount on shipping over multiple small single item orders.
